Banking isn't what it was ten years ago. The sector's shifted—customer service happens mostly online now, compliance requirements have grown stricter, and clients expect faster, more personalised support.
We designed this programme around what banks actually need. Over 36 weeks, you'll work through practical banking scenarios, learn regulatory frameworks that matter in the UK market, and understand how financial products work from the inside.
Our approach isn't flashy. It's thorough. You'll spend time on case studies drawn from real banking situations, work with current compliance standards, and learn from professionals who've spent years in UK financial institutions.

What You'll Actually Learn
This isn't about cramming theory. Each module covers specific skills that banks look for when hiring.
Banking Fundamentals
How accounts work, transaction processing, basic regulatory requirements, and the day-to-day operations that keep UK banks running.
Customer Service Standards
Communication skills specific to financial services, handling difficult conversations, and meeting FCA conduct expectations.
Financial Products
Mortgages, loans, savings accounts, and investments—how they work, who they're for, and what risks clients should understand.
Compliance Essentials
Anti-money laundering procedures, data protection under UK GDPR, fraud prevention, and the regulatory landscape you'll navigate daily.
Digital Banking
Online platforms, mobile banking systems, digital security, and how technology's changing customer expectations across the sector.
Professional Practice
Real case studies, simulated client interactions, and portfolio development that shows what you can actually do.

How Enrolment Works
We keep groups small—twenty-four participants maximum. This lets instructors give proper feedback on assignments and spend time answering questions that matter to your learning.
The programme runs over nine months with evening sessions twice weekly. Most participants balance it with work commitments, though it does require consistent effort.
- Two evening sessions per week, 6:30pm to 9pm
- Hybrid format—attend in Hull or join online sessions
- Access to recorded sessions if you miss a class
- Monthly check-ins with instructors on your progress
- Six months of post-programme support for questions
Applications for the October 2025 cohort open in May. We review applications on a rolling basis and typically fill spots by late summer.
