Learn Banking Your Way
We've spent years watching people struggle with financial services education. The jargon, the complexity — it doesn't need to be this way. Our programmes break down banking into what actually matters for your life and career.

What We Actually Teach
Look, the UK banking sector changes constantly. What worked five years back isn't relevant now. We focus on current practices and real scenarios you'll encounter.
Retail Banking Fundamentals
Starting with autumn 2025 intake, this programme covers customer-facing banking operations. You'll work through account management, lending basics, and compliance requirements that matter in daily operations.
Investment Services
This isn't about getting rich quickly. We'll walk through portfolio management theory, risk assessment frameworks, and regulatory standards. Programme begins early 2026.
Compliance & Risk
Perhaps the least glamorous but most essential aspect. AML procedures, FCA requirements, data protection — all the things that keep banks running properly. Available from September 2025.

How This Actually Works
We've tried the traditional lecture format. Honestly? It puts people to sleep. Instead, you'll get case studies from actual UK banks, scenario planning exercises, and guest speakers who've worked in these roles.
Most sessions run online — because frankly, commuting to Hull every week isn't practical for everyone. But we do quarterly meetups at our Queen Street location for those who want face-to-face discussion.
- Real case materials from UK financial institutions
- Flexible online delivery with optional in-person sessions
- Industry practitioners sharing current challenges
- Focus on practical application over theory memorisation
Your Learning Journey
Foundation Phase
First three months cover banking fundamentals, regulatory landscape, and customer service principles. You'll understand how UK banks actually operate day-to-day.
Specialisation
Months four through seven let you choose your path — retail operations, investment services, or compliance focus. This is where things get more specific to your career goals.
Applied Projects
Final months involve real scenario work. You'll tackle actual problems UK banks face, develop solutions, and present findings. This becomes your portfolio material.
What Past Students Say

I'd worked in customer service for years but banking felt like another world. The programme explained things in plain language. No unnecessary jargon. Now I'm working at a regional bank handling client accounts, which seemed impossible a year ago.

The compliance module was exactly what I needed. My background was in legal admin, but financial services compliance is its own beast. The instructors knew the FCA requirements inside out and could explain why each regulation exists.
